Moisture resistant gypsum blocks are mainly made from building gypsum, which is mixed with water, mechanically formed, and dried to produce building gypsum products. They have a rectangular shape, with tenons and mortises on the longitudinal and transverse edges. During production, fiber-reinforced materials or other aggregates can be added, as well as foaming agents, hydrophobic agents, inorganic cementitious materials, etc.
Moisture resistant gypsum blocks have the characteristics of moisture resistance, lightweight and high strength, sound insulation, fire resistance, thermal insulation, breathability, no plastering, fast and convenient construction, earthquake resistance, no cracking, and low comprehensive cost. They can be used for non load bearing interior and exterior walls of public buildings, residential buildings, and general industrial buildings, including the masonry of walls in humid environments such as kitchens and bathrooms.
